Party Extravaganza! This Spectacular production was presented by NBC Soap Celebrities and it was a very exciting culture celebration. And it was the platform to present those that made a Positive Impact in the Latin Cinema showcased at our Festival . The "Positive Image Award" and the "Next Generation Award" took place during the Party Extravaganza in Madison Square Garden.

Next Generation Award
The Awards was created to promote a Greater awareness to the children (grade Scholl through college) with our Student Essay Contest and Student Film Category. The turn out was great many of the school in NYC submitted essays about something positive within the Latin (from romance Languages) and we received 3000 essays. Lorena Santiago - from Queens, NY was Awarded the NEXT GERNERATION AWARD. Congratulations Lorena!!!! She received a promotion Bag from B&H and a Digital Camera from Best Buy.

Positive Image Award
Positive Image Award was presented to a selected number of artist and actors who can be considered role models by having consistently displayed good character and leadership qualities throughout their careers. Other Awards was given to accomplished actors and the winners of our Contest (Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, etc.) Our Sponsors had the opportunity to attach their names to the categories' and presented the Awards. They received prizes as well showcased their talent in both network with interviews by Telemundo and NBC Ch. 4 News.

It was very important for Latin USA International Film Festival to Awards those that create a vision and bring to screen a film that can inspire others. To promote those that do not exploit negative stereo types, that will not film a film in a particular location to sensationalize the film to stir controversy. We want to promote someone that cares. Takes Pride and inspire others to do the same! Swing was a Great - A Romantic Comedy Film and Martin Guigui the Director was interviewed by Telemundo and received a lot of promotional Items and air time with our presenting Networks.
