1st Annual Latin USA Film Festival in New York showcased the most positive images of the Latin Cinema presenting more than 23 films from 10 countries, including national and international premieres and award-winning films, documentaries and experimental shorts that promote a positive image of their communities as well as Music, Art, Dance, etc. (An image that normally do not receive commercial exposure. ) Newly released films from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, Puerto Rico, Chile, France, and Italy it was showned in two venues in Manhattan, NY.
Along with all the NY Community many invitees to screenings, premiers, and related events included representatives from Universal Studios, Artisan Entertainment, Miramax Films, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, HBO and a long list of established companies as well as rising stars within the industry.
All our screenings were estremelly successful and were all sold out, all photos used here were actual festival photos.
Films which have been produced domestically or internationally, either by traditional methods or independently, will help enlighten some and reassure others that the Latin heritage is, has been, and will continue to be an influential and viable force. One, which will aid in shaping the future, of not only this great nation, but also the rest of the world.
