The Latin U.S.A Film Festival was inspired and created to promote a greater understanding of the Latin culture via portrayals of the many positive aspects the heritage has to offer. In order to achieve our goals we have selected to utilize the medium of visual art as a catalyst to enhance cultural awareness, identity, diffusion, and contribution into the mosaic that is America.

By balancing on the fine line of commerce verses art, the entertainment industry and its artists have traditionally utilized film as a means of expressing their own dreams. And in doing so, they have given the viewers an opportunity to live vicariously through the images they have produced. But the industry has also given their audience an added bonus, that being the inspiration and courage to try and turn their own dreams into reality.

Films which have been produced domestically or internationally, either by traditional methods or independently, will help enlighten some and reassure others that the Latin heritage is, has been, and will continue to be an influential and viable force. One, which will aid in shaping the future, of not only this great nation, but also the rest of the world.

​*** Latin USA Film Festival was the Festival of the Romance Languages. Comprising all the languages that descend from Latin, the language of ancient Rome. There are more than 800 million native speakers worldwide, mainly in the Americas and Europe, as well as many smaller regions scattered throughout the world.

 

The six most widely spoken standardized Romance languages are Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Romanian, and Catalan. Among numerous other Romance languages are Corsican, Lombard, Occitan, Aromanian, Sardinian, Sicilian, Venetian, Galician, and Friulian.

​1st Annual Latin USA Film Festival in New York showcased the most positive images of the Latin Cinema presenting more than 23 films from 10 countries, including national and international premieres and award-winning films, documentaries and experimental shorts that promote a positive image of their communities as well as Music, Art, Dance, etc. (An image that normally do not receive commercial exposure. ) Newly released films from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, Puerto Rico, Chile, France, and Italy it was showned in two venues in Manhattan, NY. As part of the Festivities, Panels and Cultural Events we had many respectable professionals in the Film/TV/Major Studios and Entertainment Industry.​

​The Latin U.S.A. Film Festival and Expo celebrated Latin Culture and delivered a hot, high energy level event with celebrities, live performances, and many other surprises this exciting event has to offer. We created a fantastic opportunity which provided exposure to a diverse audience of influential industry professionals.The final evening Gala Event with its Expo area, the screenings and mini parties presented an incredible opportunity to network with producers, directors, distributors, agents and enthusiasts. Established pro’s will have the opportunity of a first-look at fresh ideas and new perspectives.
